If you received the Advanced Child Tax Credit, the IRS will mail you a “Letter 6419” stating your total advance. Your tax preparer will need a copy of this letter to reconcile your 2021 Child Tax Credit. If you’re married and filing jointly, you will receive two letters. You can check your IRS Online Account for more information. As always, bring anything you get from the IRS to your appointment.
